Who We Are
Fox Valley Warrior Aid Alliance (FVWAA) is a division of the Center for Suicide Awareness dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of veterans, active-duty service members, and military families through practical, trauma-informed resources, compassionate support, and meaningful community connections.
Founded by U.S. Army veteran Renee Kasuboski, FVWAA was created after witnessing firsthand that many of those who have served our nation continue to carry invisible wounds long after their military service ends. While countless organizations provide assistance during times of crisis, we believe healing also happens through everyday support, connection, and access to practical tools that promote resilience before a crisis occurs.
Our signature Warrior Response Tool Kits and Resilient Kids Resource Kits are thoughtfully designed to reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, encourage healthy coping strategies, and remind every recipient that they are seen, valued, and never alone. Every kit is assembled with care and, whenever possible, personalized to meet the unique needs of the individual or family receiving it.
As a division of the Center for Suicide Awareness, we are able to connect those we serve with an expanded network of mental health education, community partnerships, wellness initiatives, and HOPELINE™, a free, confidential, 24/7 emotional support text service available by texting HOPELINE™ to 741741.
At Fox Valley Warrior Aid Alliance, we believe healing begins with connection, resilience grows through support, and no veteran, service member, or military family should ever have to face life's challenges alone.
Together, we're honoring service by building hope, strengthening resilience, and changing lives—one family at a time.
Meet the Team
As a division of the Center for Suicide Awareness, Fox Valley Warrior Aid Alliance is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of service members, veterans, and their families. Our team includes veterans and passionate supporters who understand the unique challenges that can follow military service and are committed to providing practical tools that foster healing, resilience, and hope.
Through our Warrior Response Tool Kits and Resilient Kids Resource Kits, we equip military-connected individuals and families with resources designed to reduce stress, encourage healthy coping, and support long-term wellness.
As part of the Center for Suicide Awareness, every person we serve also has access to HOPELINE™, a free, confidential, 24/7 text-based emotional support service by texting HOPELINE™ to 741741.
💙 Together, we're ensuring those who have served—and the families who serve beside them—never have to face life's challenges alone.
Mission Statement
As a division of the Center for Suicide Awareness, Fox Valley Warrior Aid Alliance empowers veterans, service members, and military families by providing practical tools that strengthen resilience, support mental wellness, and foster hope.
Recognizing the alarming rates of suicide among veterans, we are dedicated to retraining and reconditioning the mind to overcome adversity, build resilience, and rediscover purpose. In addition, we acknowledge the unique challenges faced by the children of service members and veterans, ensuring they, too, have the resources to navigate their emotions and experiences in a healthy way.
Through our Warrior Response Tool Kits and Resilient Kids Resource Kits, along with community events and support networks, we aim to:
✅ Reduce the number of suicide attempts and losses among veterans
✅ Strengthen relationships within families, workplaces, and communities
✅ Provide coping strategies to manage trauma, stress, and emotional well-being
✅ Encourage personal growth and fulfillment beyond service
✅ Support cognitive brain function and mental wellness through practical tools and techniques
✅ Equip children with emotional resilience and coping skills to thrive
We are committed to creating a future where those who serve, and their families, lead fulfilling lives—supported by strong mental health, community connection, and resilience.
Due to our current size, we are only able to serve the Fox Valley area, Northeast and Central Wisconsin, and Fond du Lac areas. Our kits are personally delivered.

Each kit is thoughtfully tailored based on a child’s age, emotional needs, and sensory preferences—ensuring every item is meaningful, appropriate, and supportive.
Availability & Sponsorship
At this time, Resilient Kids Resource Kits are not part of our core-funded programs and are only available through individual and community sponsorships.
Because of this, these kits are not included on our standard request forms. Distribution is dependent on available sponsorships and funding.
As additional funding becomes available, we look forward to expanding access to more families in need.

Age-appropriate coping and resilience cards
-
A weighted blanket
-
Sensory tools for stress and anxiety

-
Who Can Receive a Kit?
Children who have a parent or guardian who is a service member or veteran and who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, or emotional challenges, are eligible for a sponsored kit.
How the Program Works
These kits are available only through sponsorship. Each child’s kit is funded by a caring adult, family, or organization who donates to cover the cost of assembling a personalized resource kit designed to meet the child’s unique needs. Sponsorship ensures that every child receives meaningful, supportive items—not generic, one-size-fits-all materials.
Request a Kit or Become a Sponsor
